UK Diving Gear
Discover the extraordinary underwater world around the UK’s coasts with UK Diving Gear. We provide PADI‑certified regulators, buoyancy control devices (BCDs), high‑pressure diving cylinders (10 L–15 L), dive computers with multi‑gas capability, underwater lighting systems, dry suits, and full snorkel kits. Every piece of kit undergoes rigorous servicing: cylinders hydrostatically tested every two months, regulators overhauled after each 50 hrs of use, and neoprene items deep‑cleaned in hospital‑grade ozone washers. Flexible rental periods range from a single hour to an entire week, with nationwide delivery and pickup included. Our “VIP Dive” package adds private boat charter, underwater photography, and safety briefing by senior instructors. Book online 24/7, call our support team any time, and explore shipwrecks, reefs and kelp forests with confidence and comfort.
Who are you?
Founded in 2013 in Plymouth by a team of former Royal Navy divers and marine biologists, UK Diving Gear exists to provide safe, reliable and eco‑friendly diving services across the British Isles. Our head workshop in Devon is equipped with a 20‑tonne lift for servicing cylinders, CNC‑machining for bespoke replacement parts, and an ISO‑9001 certified reactor for ozone cleaning of wetsuits and BCDs. We operate regional depots in Cornwall, Scotland and Northern Ireland, each staffed by PADI Master Instructors, technical divers and first‑responder medics. We partner with UK National Marine Parks to secure permits for protected sites, and with local dive schools to deliver “Discover Scuba” experiences, advanced wreck penetration courses and rebreather certifications. Over the past decade, we’ve supported inland dive centers, rescue agencies and scientific research teams, logging more than 30 000 successful dives. Our digital portal tracks service history, issues automatic reminders, and offers 24/7 live‑chat troubleshooting. At UK Diving Gear, safety, sustainability and exceptional customer care drive everything we do.

Our edge

  • Comprehensive Safety Protocols and ISO‑Certified Servicing

Every cylinder in our fleet undergoes hydrostatic testing at 300 bar, with traceable serial numbers logged in our ISO‑9001 database. Regulators and BCD inflation/deflation assemblies are fully stripped, ultrasonic‑cleaned, and pressure‑tested after each 50 hours of rental. We only use genuine manufacturer parts for O‑ring replacements and diaphragms, and our technicians complete annual PADI TecRec and Hyperbaric First Aid refresher courses. Dive computers receive firmware updates monthly and are water‑pressure tested up to 80 m depth. This multilayered approach—combining advanced diagnostics, certified procedures, and digital record‑keeping—eliminates unexpected equipment failures and ensures every diver can explore safely, even in challenging UK tidal conditions.
  • Expert Instruction and Real‑Time Support

Prior to every rental, clients receive a minimum 45‑minute safety briefing covering gear assembly, regulator swap‑out drills, balloon blow and mask‑clear techniques, and emergency ascent protocols. Briefings are available in English, Welsh, Scots Gaelic and Polish. During dives, our “buddy‑watch” system uses surface marker buoys with radioed status checks every 10 minutes. Divers can also opt into DiveTrack—our GPS‑linked wearable that relays real‑time depth and location to a surface supervisor. In emergencies, our rapid‑response teams carry portable hyperbaric oxygen kits and first aid supplies, guaranteeing assistance within 60 minutes at any UK mainland shore.
  • Tailored Rental Packages for All Skill Levels

    We offer four main packages:
    • Discovery (mask, snorkel, fins)—ideal for beginners and snorkelers, 2hr minimum.
    • Standard (adds BCD, single‑stage regulator, air cylinder)—for certified open water divers.
    • Advanced (adds dive computer, octopus/regulator, SMB kit)—perfect for deeper, nitrox, or night dives.
    • ProTec (adds rebreather, drysuit, underwater torch, onboard instructor)—designed for technical and wreck exploration.
    • Booking online yields automatic discounts: 10 % off for 3–5 days, 15 % off for 6+ days. All packages include free UK mainland delivery, pickup and full gear orientation.
  • Nationwide Delivery and Mobile Workshop

We maintain a fleet of GPS‑tracked vans that deliver and collect gear free of charge across mainland UK within 24 hrs. Each van is fitted with a portable charging and service unit capable of on‑site rigging checks, leak detection using halogen sensors, and minor repairs like O‑ring swaps or hose replacements. Vans also carry oxygen first‑aid kits, spare cylinders, cleaning solvents and laptop‑connected dive computer calibrators. This mobile service ensures divers never have to visit a fixed shop and can get out on the water with confidence, wherever they are.
  • Eco‑Friendly Cleaning and Conservation Initiatives

Our cleaning process uses ozone injection and citric‑based detergents to remove bacteria and biofilm without harmful chemicals. Effluent water is filtered and UV‑sterilized before safe discharge. We partner with Marine Conservation Society to host quarterly beach and reef cleanup dives, providing free gear to volunteers. A percentage of every rental goes to UK Save the Seabeds and invasive species removal programs. Our wetsuits and BCDs utilize recycled neoprene, and we offset our carbon footprint through sea‑grass restoration projects around Cornwall.
  • Exclusive Guided Dive Expeditions

Join our curated trips to UK’s top dive sites:
    • Scapa Flow Wreck Tour (Orkney)—explore sunken WWI battleships, accommodation on live‑aboard support vessel.
    • Lundy Island Blue Shark Safari (Bristol Channel)—summer expeditions with 4 wreck dives and open‑water shark swims.
    • Lundy North Marine Reserve Weekend—combine boat dives, RIB tours, and shore dives of underwater gardens.
    • Each expedition includes professional dive guides, chef‑prepared meals, nitrox fills, and underwater photography service. Groups of 6+ receive gear hire discounts and priority scheduling.
